4 Tips to Help Busy Nurses Get Organized

A long work day and priorities at home leave you feeling exhausted and dreaming of deep couch sitting with a glass of wine and popcorn, Scandal anyone? So how is it possible to meet all of our daily responsibilities and be able to find time to just relax?

One word: ORGANIZE!

We’ve come up with some awesome tips to help you organize and plan your time better. This way, you can get the work/life balance you need.

  1. Schedule

The beginning of the year is the best time to buy a planner. Write down your schedule and plan ahead! Studies show that just by taking a pen to paper and writing down your goals, you are 42% more like to achieve them.

  1. Organize Your Space

Organizing your space could mean starting the new year by cleaning out the closet, meal prepping the for the week, or laying your scrubs out the night before. Whatever it may be, having a clean and organized space will save you time and lower stress.

  1. Start Early

If you have to be to the hospital at 5 am get there 15 minutes early.  By starting your shift early, you’ll have a little extra time to prepare for the long day. You’ll enjoy the extra cup of coffee, listening to your favorite song, and the time to get your brain working before rushing straight into work.

  1. Maintain Your Health

Whatever it may be, find time to take care of yourself. Maintaining your health through a healthy balance of exercise and diet will keep you more energized and happier.
